Matsumoto Makes
I have been making an effort to MAKE things. Not just anything, but hand painting some bracelets to be specific. I started off with just one for a birthday gift. Inspired by some designs I saw online, I thought “I could do this too.” I found some reasonably priced blank wooden bracelets and off I went. It has been very relaxing for me to do this. I enjoy spending time away from my computer and making things. The beginning was a rough since I was trying to figure out the right technique. Now that I have six complete, I finally got a system down and figured out what works best when painting. This sure helps to break up the constant thoughts about my thesis!

Tasty Tuesday + matsumoto studio
It’s finally here! matsumoto studio–a big sis & lil’ sis collaboration to do what we love most–design! We live on different coasts (Jes on the west & me on the East) and specialize in designing the annie + flo notecard line, stationery, invitations, announcements and more! We believe that good design should be accessible and affordable to everyone. All of our invitations and announcements are DIY printables so you can either print them at home or through a print shop. Check out our current selection of products and keep an eye out for updates. It has been a dream to be able to share what we do with everyone and am exciting for this new adventure.
You can also check out our blog where we will post things about what we do, what we are working on, and also what we eat! One thing we want to do is start “Tasty Tuesdays” where we will share a recipe.
Check out this weeks Tasty Tuesday post about baked stuff shrimp and fettuccine. Yum! Hope everyone enjoys matsumoto studio, because we surely enjoy sharing design with you all.
Local Jams, No worries.
I wish I could be on the West Coast for Lu’au season. I can never say no to a Lu’au poster (even when asked to be done ASAP), especially by request from long-time friend Jordan Helle. Catch him for a couple more weeks, Sunday afternoons at 2PM West Coast at koxyradio.com for “Local Jams, No worries.” Luau time is always an exciting, stressful, and wonderful time for all us “Hawaii Kids” to get together and honor our home. Hope yesterday’s event was a success!
