The “Anytime, Anywhere” project was the result of a semester long project in the “Learn, Engage, Design,” collaboration studio course at Parsons The New School for Design. Partnering with Riverdale Country School in New York, the project evolved after school visits talking with students, multiple brainstorming and iterations, and prototyping stages. At the end of the project we provided Riverdale with a final document providing teachers with ideas and introduced them to different ways they can implement learning anytime, anywhere.
Focusing on enhancing the future of learning and how the next generation of students will interact with their environment, this project is a toolkit that provides different ways for teachers to use augmented related (AR) in their classroom.
The goal of “Anytime, Anywhere” is to reiterate the idea that learning can take place beyond the traditional classroom and encourage students to take initiative with their education by extending the “classroom” in any environment. Through the use of augmented reality, students are given the opportunity to express their thoughts and perspectives in a virutal setting.
