Walking West

Getting a glimpse of Times Square in this wet, winter-like weather while walking west to the subway. Spring anyone?
Present

Today was tough–mentally on the brain and physically on the body. Walking around the city searching for just the right thing for thesis and wondering why I can’t find it in the “big” city. This seems to always be the case for some reason and frustrating to focus on, so I’ve had to learned not to. Live in the present, go with what happens and something will fall into place. In this case, bloom into place as the flowers have finally arrived and acted as a pleasant present to the difficult day.
Monday

Today isn’t Monday, but this is what I did on Monday. Downtown NYC skyline, and ferry feet on the way to Redhook, Brooklyn to visit IKEA for thesis supples.
Spring is finally in the air today, or maybe we just skipped to summer: 79 degrees in the city.
Stop
SPRING

I think spring is finally coming out of its shell. Yesterday was full of blue skies and the machine that flies.
HIgh Life

Looking back on the weekend and the quick visit to a rooftop lounge looking towards the Empire State Building. A chilly night, but made some warm Hawaii connections.
Poke

Fresh fish fix. Pronounced “po-keh” this island favorite I something I miss whole away on the mainland. Shoyu poke from Sack ‘N Save is a must have when I’m on Maui.
Home, again

This past week has been busy thanks to midterms. All well worth it because now I’m back on Maui to enjoy a short spring break. Pictures from my travels from New York to my final destination, home. (NY-LA-MAUI)
AMNH

Class trip to the American Museum of Natural History. Who said you can’t have field trips in grad school? Wish I has this place when I was little. Amazing.
