SPRING

I think spring is finally coming out of its shell. Yesterday was full of blue skies and the machine that flies.

Cookies and Kale on this East coast, Easter Sunday. After a quick trip back home for spring break, it’s back to work to finish up this last semester.

This past week has been busy thanks to midterms. All well worth it because now I’m back on Maui to enjoy a short spring break. Pictures from my travels from New York to my final destination, home. (NY-LA-MAUI)

Woke up in the morning and saw lots of snow. The first photo was caught as I got out of the subway at Union Squaee. After class, visited Serendipity 3 on the Upper East Side for late lunch with friends and the famous frozen hot chocolate. Then a walk through Central Park to end the wintery day. Who new the Maui girl could enjoy a cold day in the city–it really is something.
On the first day of March, I had some Indian Chai Tea.

On the second day, I was surprised with snow and lots of electriCity.

The third day was Girl’s Day to all those Japanese.

…and a working sesh for everyone with a thesis (including the bodega by the 6-year old.

Then, an Empire State Building view from queens, before a dinner in Brooklyn.

March 4, a Monday, and the start of a new week. Tired but ready to welcome the 5th, with the help from the neon lights of Chinatown.

Found myself a blue and green Empire State Building on the way to school followed by some yummy chocolate covered marshmallow robin’s eggs from Dean and Deluca. A little something to snack on through a three hour night class. Special snacks thanks to the best professor—Claudia.

From Thursday to now it’s been nonstop outings for school and for friends. The end of the week meant an early start to the weekend on Thursday for the Vine App launch #party at Marquee. Friday brought gloomy skies and pops of color thanks to grad school jordan almond bribes. The weekend brought Kara, a friend from Maui living in DC came up for a visit. The rainy and cold weekend didn’t stop us from getting around NY and we even ended up in Flushing, Queens to eat at the amazing food court at the New World/Golden Mall. Totally worth the trek out there. Today I had Tacos for a birthday and enjoyed my night “thesising,” finding a little bit of home in the mess that I made. A lot has happened in a few days and that just goes to show how busy New York will keep you.
