My first major snowfall! It’s amazing how a gusty night can bring a beautiful tomorrow. The views from Central Park.

My first blizzard is here! The snow started to fall this afternoon so hopefully in the morning it will be a whole new, white, world.

I went on a blogging hiatus as final presentations and projects started piling up in front of me. Not quite home free but with a little more time to breathe I saw the light of day and one too many drunk Santas, reindeer, and elves roaming the city. Cool.
More interesting pictures from the past week to come soon!
I tend to look up when I walk around out in the city. Today as I shot this little surprise I was thinking back to when I moved to New York last July. Growing up on an island where the tallest building is eight stories high, I used to get a feeling of being so small next to such tall buildings. Now, I don’t think about it much and focus more on getting where I need to go ASAP. I take a lot of pictures is the open sky and architecture because its what you don’t pay attention to or notice regularly. I get excited to see open space and how the tops of buildings contrast to the blue sky behind them. New York has taught me many things, but the best is probably making the most out of what you got. Sure, I don’t look at a beach everyday or an amazingly orange SoCal sunset, but I got buildings and I’ll make the most out of that.

I have has an extra busy week pretending to be a tourist again. Visiting friends always being out the best in the city causing long nights and full days of fun.

Leaving the city and some technology for Long Island to enjoy Thanksgiving. Pictures from yesterday evening and this morning. Loving the fresh air.
