Sweet Escape

Last week it was all about Sandy. This week, it’s a whole new world of blue skies, Santa’s helpers, and me playing house all over the place. Things have been a little hectic, posts not up to date, but I am lucky to know I have a lot of people looking out for me!
Sun to Snow
Came back from sunny SoCal last weekend and ended got the surprise of SNOW in NYC on Wednesday, yikes! I think I handled it well considering it is only the third time I’ve actually seen snow fall from the sky.
OBAMA2012
Making history. Yes WE can!
Patriotic night at the Empire State Building.
Getting some OBAMA swag.
Lucky to live in America, land of the free.
Sandy

Last year it was Irene, this year it’s Sandy. The lady hurricanes are causing a NYC disruption, shutting down subways, emptying grocery store shelves and getting everyone to buy water. I’ve moved higher up the numbers streets to a “safe zone.” No school tomorrow, but lets pray for electricity.
Eyes in the sky

The overcast weather is fit for fall. The sky may be gloomy but the changing leaves and magic moments in the sky make it all worth it.
23

Tuesday I celebrated my birthday and received lots of love from the East coast, West coast and Pacific Ocean. Lots of sweets, treats and good eats.
Sunsets & Sweaters

Although its hard to tell from the nice sunset and blue skies, it was so cold today! The low was in the 30’s and highs were in the 50’s. Summer weather has turned into sweater weather.
Light Rays
Tasty Tourist
A full day of playing tourist in NYC with good friends from Maui. An all day affair of eating. Early morning sun, lasagna lunch from Eataly to an afternoon “snack” from Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles in Chinatown. Small shop, good noodles, just like the movie, Kung Fu Panda.
Hello up there
The beauty of NYC is not always what you see in front if your face but what you see in the sky. Sometimes I cringe walking the dirty streets and dodging crowds of people. Then, I take a moment, and think about all the things I learned in the past year. Not only about myself, but living in the city. Proves that when you put your mind to something, it really can happen. So this is what I say today– flying planes, birds taking a bath, and of course this big, bold, buildings. Just another day in the city.
This city.
…is amazing. All these things I saw in jus two hours. Nature, the dump, a AIGA talk by designer Louise Fili, and blinding ambulance action. Only in New York.
