Doing Christmas things in October. The ice rink is out at Rockefeller Center and so are the lights! Halal Guys for dinner. Can’t have it everyday but definitely delicious for a special day!

I knew nothing was the same when I went from not knowing any buildings, to pointing out a lot of buildings....

Then + Now

Then in 2011, this blog started for one person-- my mom. This is how I shared with her what I was doing in grad school as I slept very little and drank a lot of unsweetened iced tea.

Now, grad school is over and this has evolved into a personal blog of thoughts and observations. The stories began in New York City and go to the places I've traveled and back to my home, Hawaii. These are the things I want to remember because I know one day, I'll look back at all this and not remember any of it. Thanks to the internet, I'll never forget.
